Recessed & Track Lighting Repair or Installation Services

Recessed and Track Lighting: Two very popular types of lighting incorporated in homes these days. Recessed (pot lights) come in many styles and sizes. They can be low voltage or line voltage. Low voltage will incorporate a transformer while line voltage are 120 volt. Most can be dimmed and offer both good general lighting or task lighting.

Very popular in basement renovations because of their recessed design. They obviously take up no head room. It is critical that the approved style of recessed light be used depending on the location. For example if they are to be installed in an attic space they must be IC rated or approved for areas with insulation. This is to negate any over heating or fire issues. They must also be installed with vapour boxes above them.

If you wish to retrofit some into the main floor ceiling of a two-storey house please keep in mind this may entail cutting into your drywall ceilings or even walls so expect drywall repairs to be needed after the electrical install. Track lights also come in a variety of styles and voltages. These are more geared to task lighting.
